35th Competition for the Figurative Arts

Saturday 13 May at 18 the exhibition of the Caraian Foundation "35th Competition for the Figurative Arts" opens in the Sala Umberto Veruda in Piazza Piccola 2 in Trieste.

At the "35th Competition for Figurative Arts" of the "Lilian Caraian" Foundation, thirty-three young artists of the Region, born or resident, or enrolled in or graduated from an Institute of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, under the age of 35 were classified.

Three prizes and a scholarship are foreseen for an internship at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg, where leading artists from various countries intervene as teachers. The Prize is supported by the Soroptimist International Club of Trieste and the Kathleen Forman Casali Charity Foundation.

Artists have the widest freedom of expression and must submit two works. The Commission of selection will be chaired by Paolo Marani supported by Enzo Mari, Marianna Accerboni, Enea Chersicola and by Anna Rosa Rugliano, President of the Caraian Foundation. The Award Ceremony will take place on Saturday 13 May 2023 at 18.00 in the "Umberto Veruda" Room of Palazzo Costanzi (piazza Piccola, 2) granted by the Municipality of Trieste.

The exhibition will be open from 14 to 28 May 2023 and can be visited with the usual working hours and holidays from 10 to 13 and from 17 to 20.
